Buying the van and how I chose this one!
I knew nothing about sprinter vans, but that seemed like the best vehicle for me; so I convinced my daughter to come with me to an RV dealer and see what we could learn. I knew I didn’t want to tow anything and wanted it to be self contained. I also wanted something that wasn’t too conspicuous so when I was in the city I didn’t stand out like a sore thumb, or a crazy RV’er!
I started at Poulsbo RV in Kent, WA. We met a really nice salesman, Eric. He spent a lot of time, answering many questions, showed us every single van they had on the lot and many other RV’s, even a huge trailer that had a full size washer and dryer and a huge master bedroom. There are some beautiful RV’s out there. If you want to see what they have, click the link!!
It took some time deciding what was most important, to me, in the RV. I settled on a Sprinter van (pictured above). The first trip was set for early October, my daughter, her chihuahua, Macy and Lambert and I set off for Deception Pass in northern Washington. There was a lot to learn and we had some hiccups, but managed and had a fabulous time!
For the next months I continued to research what I wanted in the van, extra storage, pots and pans that were small, portable crate for Lambert; there were many things to consider!
I still had a lot to learn! And getting this site up and running too. It will be a work in progress for a while, I am looking forward to sharing new things, ideas and places!
