A little Family Time (and the repair shop)!

Visits to Crater Lake, Medford and Klamath Falls, living in a van with a dog!

Next stop was a visit, to my Uncle Zip and Aunt Karen, in Medford OR. On the way we detoured to Crater Lake. Only one viewing spot was open as there was about 10’ of snow towering above the roads. It was eerie and gorgeous! We arrived in Medford for a visit in and then out to dinner. We stayed in their neighbors driveway, as they were gone and Zip and Karen’s was not flat! It was a really nice time visiting and seeing all the beautiful plants and garden areas in their yard. I also did some organizing, which seems like something that needs to be done ALL THE TIME!

I planned to run some errands on my way to Klamath Falls ; after a stop at PetCo a warning light come on in the van. Time to find a shop! I went to an RV service place and they sent me to the Mercedes dealer. They were very accomodating, got my van in right away, and sent me off to grab lunch. When we returned we waited, but they had snacks and WiFi! They fixed the problem, a sensor on the right front tire. It was under warranty and they washed the van! So we were off and clean, heading for Klamath Falls. I didn’t make a reservation because I wanted to see the place first.

It was one of those weird concrete RV parks, but I want to try all my options. It had it’s pros and cons. Big con, on my Good Sam listing it said $45, when I got there it was $69, yikes! If I would have known that I may have just booked a hotel! Pros, it had a dog run, so Lambert got to play toys and do Zoomies. I took a lovely shower and did three loads of laundry!! Everyone I ran into there was really friendly too. I can see the appeal and will be staying at an RV park again. We left at 11 and headed for Redding, CA, again, no reservations, though I think this won’t become a habit!
